BBC debate

Wednesday, 4 July 2012

I’m contributing to a radio show this Friday talking about the rights and wrongs of the Criminal Justice System. Also present will be various panel members including Sir Norman Bettison, Chief Constable of West Yorkshire Police.

  1. Hello Michael, I have just finished reading your book after hearing a small part of the debate. I found it absolutely shocking and I cannot believe that the justice system can be so wrong… it makes the world a lot scarier knowing that no one is completely safe no matter how innocent you are. I had to come on this website as I needed to find out if you had eventually cleared your name through the system or if it was still ongoing? Also the female police officer who told those lies under oath has she ever been questioned for her untruths?
I really feel that you are a true inspiration to others. Well done for hanging on and growing out of the mis-justice!

  2. Nowthen Michael.
A bit late in doing so but just finished your book “a fair cop”.
    Bloody hell!
I have been in many positions where I have had to hit someone I was arresting because they were fighting me, never any serious issues!
That judge must have had a FPN for speeding the week before and the female officer must of felt threatened by you for some reason, what she said is very very wrong!
What is she like with the evidence of non Police officers!
Please try and update me on the final outcome of the review.

    Take care Michael, well done.

  3. I hope you gave Sir Norman a run for his money. Especially in light of his “early retirement” after the latest Hillsborough information release.
