Talk at Birstall Library

My next talk will be held at 7pm on Thursday 21st January 2010 at Birstall Library. I’ll be giving a full update on the status of my case and an outline of my next book, The Dark Side.
Tickets are available from the library and I’ll be signing books which will be on sale on the evening.
Michael, wish I could get to one of your talks, I will if you get to Manchester sometime. The book was great and will make many police officers realise that the job we do is fraught with dangers from all angles. It seems you were unfortunate in the extreme to get a Judge who appears to have been biased from the outset and one who was completely influenced by a load of rent a witnesses and a police Sergeant whose evidence conflicted with that of all the medical experts. One night in a cell was enough for me, and 18 months awaiting my fate but luckily the Jury listened to the evidence and the Judge did a fair summing up. Best wishes to you and yours. Julie

We had so very much in common and as the pages turned I became so engrossed it began to feel like I had been there with him in the cell as he suffered the injustice and callousness of it all, the full brunt of societies worst and it’s supposed finest. There but for the grace of God go I.
I was brought to tears by the way he found God who saw him through those dark hours, as he had done with me, and by the way he can now see the beauty of the world and not just the evil that placed him in such a devastating position through no fault of his own.
My very best regards to you and your family Mick, I will pray that you will go from strength to strength and that one day the causes of your suffering will be judged by their deeds, and fear as you must have done. It’s over for you now my friend and time to move on to a new chapter.
I would encourage everyone thinking of joining the service to read this book before they sign up. Sometimes the enemy within is more devastating than the one outside!
