I have two more talks planned for libraries in Kirklees. The first is at Golcar on Monday 29th March 2010 starting at 7.30pm. The second is at Kirkburton on Wednesday 31st March 2010 also starting at 7.30pm. These are ticket only events, so please contact the library to reserve your place.  I’ll be giving a full update on the status of my case and an outline of my next book, The Dark Side.

I’ll be signing books, which will be on sale on the evening.

A Fair Cop
Wednesday 31st March 2010, 7:30PM
An evening with Michael Bunting. The true story of a police officer trying to survive in a prison for a crime he didn’t commit.
A Fair Cop is the true story of P.C. Michael Bunting who was attacked and injured on an August night in Leeds in 1997.
Two years later he found himself defending a charge of common assault in Leeds Crown Court. He was found guilty and received a four month prison sentence.
The book gives graphic accounts of life behind bars for a policeman as one by one the inmates turn on him.
Michael Bunting is coming to talk about his book and his experiences.

Some comments received:

Brilliant idea to invite a local author to give a talk. Michael Bunting – extremely interesting and thought provoking.

Fantastic. Brilliant speaker. Society should be proud of people like Michael.

A real entertaining evening. It gave you a new slant on the Police Force. Good to know that as one door shuts a better one opens. Good luck.

We travelled from Staffordshire to listen to an informative talk by Michael Bunting. Thank you.

Wonderful. Michael and his family have been very brave.

A really wonderful story, the best so far. It goes to prove the saying as one door closes etc.
